Vacuuming

Vacuum your carpet frequently with a vacuum with a high efficiency  system. Vacuum before the carpet looks soiled. Keep your vacuum in good working condition – check the belts and change the collection bag frequently.

Here’s a Tip: Reduce the amount of soil being tracked into your home or business!

Soil Tracking Control

Place walk-off grids or mats at the entry points to your home or business. This will help prevent soil from being tracked from the outside onto the inside carpeting. Vacuum and/or clean these mats frequently. Once your carpet or mats become loaded with soil, their effectiveness is greatly reduced.

Maintain your carpet & upholstery for maximum performance, and a healthy indoor environment.

Experts recommend that textiles (Carpet & Upholstery),  and floors be cleaned at least once per year for maximum performance, and a healthy indoor environment.

Studies have proven that carpets, fabrics, and floors do not perform as well and are subject to contributing to an unhealthy indoor environment if not cleaned regularly. Soil is corrosive by nature and it breaks down the fibers of your textiles. Soil that cannot be removed by vacuuming, sweeping, or mopping, bonds to your floors and fabrics and can only be removed by professional cleaning. Our job as “cleaning consultants” is to advise you how to take the absolute best care of your valuable investments.

Even though your floors and fabrics may “look” clean, that doesn’t mean that they are clean. Especially if you have pets and children. Soils, pollens, bacteria, asphalt, insecticides, and all sorts of invisible enemies are transferred to your furnishings daily.

Our state-of-the art cleaning removes harmful soils, pollens, and bacteria from fabrics and floors that “look” clean.

If you are worried about how much it would cost to clean all of your floors and fabrics every year, don’t be. We can create a “maintenance plan” for you that will provide significant “volume discounts”.

Run Spot. Run….

Urine Spots

What should you do when your pet “goes on the carpet”? Are puppy puddles putting you in a particular predicament? Well, not to worry, that’s what we are here for.

First of all, if you have a pet that is prone to urinate on the carpet, take a quick walk through your home each day when you get home. The quicker you get to a pet stain the better.

Some technical tips on urine:

When urine is first excreted, it is on the acid side of the pH scale and very easily removed. Within hours of being exposed to oxygen it turns to an alkaline pH. When this happens it will continue to increase in alkalinity to the point of becoming practically ammonia.  This explains the ammonia like odor.

At this stage it dramatically affects the dye structure of the carpet.

To clean the urine spot:

Mix 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts water and clean with a white terry towel. If you have a small extraction machine, it would be ideal to use it. DO NOT USE OVER THE COUNTER SPOT REMOVERS OR

ALL- PURPOSE CLEANERS ON URINE! YOU MAY SET THE SPOT PERMANENTLY!
