AJS Carpet Cleaning, Inc. uses the very best equipment and cleaning agents available to get your carpet and upholstery as clean as possible. We do not use those methods that only remove the dirt at the surface. Hot-water extraction is the method that has been proven to be most effective in removing even the deepest soil, safely and gently, and is the recommended choice of both carpet and fiber manufacturers.
- The carpet is pre-groomed and vacuumed to remove insoluble solids.
- Hot, soft water is combined with our special soap-free cleaning solution and sprayed unto the carpet fibers to emulsify and lift ground-in dirt and soil.
- This emulsion is then extracted from the carpet with the powerful truck-mounted vacuum system
- The carpet is rinsed with hot, steaming soft water.
- 90-95% of the moisture is removed.
- No soapy residue is left in the carpet.
- Dust, mites, allergens and other microscopic pollutants that collect in your carpet are removed.
- If necessary, air movers are left on the carpet overnight, to accelerate drying
The Service Visit
Our technicians will pre-inspect the rooms and/or items to be cleaned in order to identify and special problems. They will let you know if there are any special considerations, and answer any questions you may have. They will carefully move any furniture from the rooms (except very large items, such as pianos, china cabinets, entertainment centers, etc.). After the cleaning, they will apply any requested deodorizer or protector, and groom the carpet, and return your furniture to its original location, placing protective pads under the legs. They will then consult with you, and do whatever is necessary to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with the cleaning.
Your carpet or upholstery will remain damp to the touch for a while after cleaning. You may use fans or turn on your air conditioning system to accelerate drying. Please leave the protective pads under furniture legs until the carpet is completely dry to avoid any color transfer from furniture polish to the carpet.
It will be O.K. walk on your carpet immediately after cleaning, but avoid tracking fresh soil unto your carpet. Shoe slipcovers or a throw rug or towel will be especially effective near entranceways. Be especially careful when walking from damp, carpeted areas on to non-carpeted areas to avoid slipping.
We recommend the application of carpet protector to your freshly cleaned carpet. This is a chemical that protects the carpet and upholstery from soils, water- and oil-based spills by wrapping each fiber in a protective coating, and makes it easier for you to clean up spots and spills before they soak into the fibers, or get fixed on the surface.
