Do-it-Yourself Tips For Ceramic Tile and Natural Stone Cleaning

For any tile or natural stone:

Blot up spills immediately
Dust mop floors…use an untreated mop
Use door mats and walk off mats
Do not place metal furniture on the floor

Avoid these with natural stone:

Do not use vinegar or acid cleaners
Do not use powder cleansers
Do not use mildew removers

To clean your tile floor:

Use a neutral cleaning agent in your mop water.  Use a soft brush in grout areas that are excessively soiled.  Rinse the neutral pH cleaning agent out of the floor by mopping over it a second time with plain water.
